2013 has started with a bang! Hand me Down, an SA Adventure initiative has now got 55 active collection stations and the amount of donations we have received this year has increased massively! As Hand me Down grows, so do the costs and as such we realised the need to have frequent fund raisers for this worthy cause!
Our first Hand me Down fund raiser was held at Hennops Off-road trail, just outside of Johannesburg. As a 4×4 Fun day, families were able to come and have fun going around the trail, whilst doing it all for a great reason! All funds raised on the day were donated to Hand me Down. After the 4x4ing, we held a prize giving, where prizes (donated by our sponsors) were given out based on a lucky draw. After prize giving, we all enjoyed a braai and ended the day with the last bit of the trail.
Thank you to Hennops Off-road and to our sponsors; Jackelberry, Tracks4Africa, Sunset Gear and Wonderbag.
At Landy Festival, which was held from the 21st-24th of March, SA Adventure ran the 4x4track for those at the Landy festival to have some fun in the dirt or to challenge themselves getting up “Gabriel Hill”. It was a successful weekend and all funds raised were donated to Hand me Down.
Thank you to all of you for your commitment and support!
I know that we will continue to clothe and warm those in need.
